Langley Point is a mixed-use development with upscale apartments on 38 acres and a 15-acre parcel for future commercial development at the corner of Sunset Boulevard and Henbet Drive in West Columbia. The $60 million project will feature a luxury multifamily gated community with a resort-style pool, outdoor kitchen, “bark park, “pet spa, and electric vehicle charging stations.

Cox and Dinkins assisted the client throughout the development process, including annexation, rezoning, subdivision, and civil engineering design. The design included the preservation of 4 existing ponds onsite, including sediment and erosion control; SCDOT coordination for the signalization of Henbet Drive and Sunset Boulevard, including traffic coordination with the Town of Lexington and Lexington County for the new signal to be part of the “smart-signal” corridor along Sunset Blvd; electric vehicle charging stations; tree and buffer preservation along the existing ponds; and handicapped accessibility throughout the 20 apartment buildings to the luxury amenities.
