Cox and Dinkins and a team of other industry professionals assisted the client throughout the redevelopment process of the former Cardinal Newman Campus (A private school). In addition to providing civil engineering services, other efforts included:

  • Client representation at community and public outreach sessions
  • Working with government officials to ease traffic concerns by utilizing the adjacent traffic light onto Forest Drive for access
  • Adjusting the timing of traffic signals along Forest Drive to improve the level of service for vehicular traffic

Located along the ever-popular Forest Acres shopping and dining corridor, the Cardinal Crossing development brings a unique mix of retail shops, high-end residential apartments, restaurants, and office space to Forest Drive, a thriving yet crowded main thoroughfare from I-77 and Forest Jackson into downtown Columbia.
